Fishing for Poetry with Aly Bain, Andrew Greig, Douglas Eadie and Alan MacDonald

Wed Sept 28th at 7pm.
A ceilidh-screening at the Scottish Poetry Library.
In a first for the library, we’ll screen a film and enjoy live music and readings. Billy Connolly and Aly Bain: Fishing for Poetry, a 2010 documentary celebrating the centenary of Norman MacCaig's birth, will be shown in the company of its producer and some of its musical stars. Aly Bain will bring his fiddle, famed bagpiper Alan MacDonald-who also features in the film-will bring his pipes. Andrew Greig will also do some readings, and all will share stories and song. A one-off event not to be missed.
