Online Mindfulness and Expressive Writing Course
Led by poet and mindfulness teacher Colin Maguire
Full Price: £80 Low Income: £40
This eight-week Mindfulness and Expressive Writing course (MEW) provides an introduction to mindfulness meditation combined with expressive and creative writing practices. Each meditation practice is paired with a poem and a specific expressive writing practice. The course begins with an hour-long introduction session on April 25 before the course begins proper on May 2.
The course will include six key themes: present moment awareness, expressive writing, mindfulness of body and breath, compassion and loving-kindness. Each session lasts two and a half hours, including a short break. The course will take place on Zoom.
You do not need to share anything you write however you can share if the opportunity arises, and you are comfortable to do so. We will also have a shared discussion after each practice (feel free to share or listen, whichever is most comfortable for you).
The course is open to all people, levels of mindfulness and writing experience. All you need is curiosity and intention to give it a go.
